I am just a mom who has been blessed with 5 beautiful children!
A girl who will be known as "Princess"
Then my sons in birth order:
My oldest son is "Little Man"
Then comes my "Angel Eyes"
After comes my "Sneaky Monkey"
and last but not least is my "Baby Boy"
(I have decided not to use real names for their privacy and protection, I hope you understand)
They each are a blessing from Heaven and I am so glad that they are mine and I can share them with my husband (Mr. Man) and watch them grow up to be wonderful adults.
One thing though, our family life is not that of a typical family - it is one that is loomed over by autism.
My oldest son was diagnosed with autism when he was 17 months old and the others follwed around the same age. Princess was diagnosed with a milder form of ASD known as Pervasive Developmental Disorder and Baby Boy is currently in the evaluation/ observation process but he has the same global delays as my other boys have exhibited. This is a challenge we take head on every day and we do the best we can. We are not experts nor do we pretend to be - we just do what we can and try our best, that is all that we can do.
This page is dedicated to my children and my husband and will be used as a way to vent and talk about those things that are affecting me, the autism community, and the world in general at the present time. These are my opinions and thoughts and I am releasing them here so Mr. Man does not have to hear me complain and whine! LOL
